New York State Licensed Veterinary Technician

The Village Veterinary Clinic of Hamburg is seeking a NY State licensed veterinary technician to join our community daytime, medical team. Our progressive, team-orientated approach encourages constructive dialogue between our assistants, technicians, and doctors which allows for collaborative medicine, leading to more positive outcomes for our patients. Job Description:

  • Licensed in New York State as a veterinary technician
  • Provides compassionate care to patients
  • Keeps accurate medical records
  • Able to appropriately restrain both dogs and cats. Regularly utilizes fear free methods
  • Client education
  • Proficient in venipuncture
  • Anesthetic monitoring for patients during dental and surgical procedures
  • Part of a team when handling emergencies
  • Proficient at labwork
  • Proficient at radiology
  • Able to care for critically ill and hospitalized patients

Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour

Veterinary Assistant

The Village Veterinary Clinic of Hamburg is seeking a veterinary assistant to join our community daytime, medical team. Our veterinary assistant plays an integral part in assisting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patients and patient care. Assistants help to keep our hospital clean, organized, and disinfected. Our progressive, team orientated approach encourages constructive dialogue between our assistants, technicians, and doctors which allows for collaborative medicine, leading to more positive outcomes for our patients. The VVC recognizes and works to provide a needed work/life balance for our employees. We understand that it is crucial to provide a schedule that will allow our employees positive mental health.

We are looking for full-time or part-time veterinary assistants. Must be able to work weekends or weekend rotations.

Performance Expectations:

  • Provide compassionate care to animals
  • Keep accurate medical records
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, treatment rooms, surgical rooms according to hospital policy
  • Help with technician and office visits
  • Effectively restrain animals
  • Clean and organize the hospital
  • Proper care for hospital equipment
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks such as office visits, emergencies cases, lab work or x-rays
  • Help care for hospitalized patients under the direction of the veterinary technician and veterinarian. Proper cleanliness of cages and kennels. Cleaning food dishes and laundry.

Pay $14.00-$19.00 per hour

Veterinary Technician – Physical Therapy

The Village Veterinary Clinic of Hamburg is seeking a technician to join our veterinary physical therapy service.

Physical therapy and rehabilitation is a growing and advancing field in veterinary medicine. Easing a patient’s pain or helping to walk again is a truly rewarding experience.

The cases we see are varied and challenging, however, due to the open communication between our experienced certified technicians and doctor, advice/opinions/assistance is always close at hand, if needed or desired. The VVC recognizes and works to provide a needed work/life balance for our employees. We understand that it is crucial to provide a schedule that will allow our employees’ positive mental health.

  • Knowledge, understanding, and ability to choose appropriate exercise and therapy plans for patients based on
  • their medical needs.
  • Proficient in other aspects of veterinary medicine including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia, etc.

Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour

Veterinary Assistant – Physical Therapy

CSR (Customer Service Representative)/Receptionist

The Village Veterinary Clinic of Hamburg seeks a motivated individual to join our front desk/client service team. We recognize the importance of the people welcoming our clients and thoroughly appreciate their contributions to the functioning of our progressive veterinary hospital. Our front desk team members craft relationships with our clients and their pets that are unique to the profession. This position is integral to patient scheduling, prescription refill requests (online and in-person) and most importantly, being a constant, reasonable voice for a client with questions. The VVC recognizes and works to provide a needed work/life balance for our employees. We understand that it is crucial to provide a schedule that will allow our employees positive mental health.
